Abstract
Head and neck cancer management presents a challenge in oncology due to varied clinical presentations and the complex anatomy of the disease. Their management requires a multidisciplinary approach. In recent years advancements in technology and artificial intelligence in the form of Chat GPT have emerged as a tool for the clinical decision support system. All the diagnosed patients of head and neck cancers operated in the Department of Surgical Oncology, National Institute of Medical Sciences, Jaipur from February 2023 to May 2024 were included in the study. Excluded from the study were cases – recurrent cancers and distant metastatic cancers. All the patients were discussed in the MDT tumor board of the institute. 30 patients of head and neck cancer were included in the study. Patients were treated under the tumor board recommendations. All the data that was presented in the tumor board were extracted and the information was entered into the ChatGPT chatbot. Artificial intelligence Chat GPT Chatbot prompt has very high concordance with the MDT-based tumor board recommendations. Artificial intelligence has an emerging role in treatment-related decision-making in head and neck cancers. Though in the early phase, more advancements in the field of artificial intelligence led to improvement and proved to have a pivotal role in the management of cancers in the future.
